Events of the Sunday in question began strangely absent of any RCC personnel upon my entry of the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center 1350 Tremont Street, Roxbury, MA.

I had been assigned to the Malcom-X Lobby at the intersection of the Gymnasium, The Run House, and the stairs down to the Field House.  I took up my post and after perhaps 45 minutes made contact with Facilities Lead Personnel: Lance, and sometime thereafter, Richard, both of whom greeted me and went about their way.

Later, I met Officer Akai in uniform, but with a red-lined hoodie underneath, if memory serves me.
We briefly commented on how we were surprised at how short the shift was, and he had made a comment which, at the time may had reflected on the lack of a Supervisor.  He confirmed that he and I were the only two, out of what had been a roster of five -- four officers and Supervisor Mendes (Junior).  Akai asked for confirmation that we would be paid for four (4) hours despite the three hour shift.

When that time was reached, Noon, he returned to the Malcom-X Lobby and informed me that he was out and we parted ways.

I looked down the stairs into the Field House and saw that the track event was far from over, and I took it upon myself to ask Account Manager Jose Roman if he wanted me to stay to provide continuing coverage, to which he replied in the affirmative -- we both confused as to the gap in coverage the original three hour shift would had provided.

With authorisation, I made my way to the Main Lobby of the RLTAC, and tended to the unmitigated flow of persons entering the facility from roughly 1210 until well past 1800 Hours when I received further confirmation from Account Mgr. Roman that I was permitted to stay until event completion, then projected for sometime at or around 1900 Hours.

During this time, one individual, male, continued to attempt to pass through the detection threshold against the flow of ingress, and I repeatedly thwarted his attempts.  His last thrust was with a cover garment so as to mask his colourful jersey, and upon my interception of him, he protested that I him mistaken for someone else.  I did not permit his transgression and managed to deflect his attempts to escalate matters, until he disengaged and I was once again given the opportunity to monitor ingress -- now at a very reduced rate given the lateness of the hour.

During that same block of time, I had a woman approach me with the request for her to return with a roller case she would leave the event for a flight.  I had explained that I would have to manually inspect the interior and she agreed.  Minutes alter she made her entrance to the queue for the security threshold where I met her and we placed the case on the small desk immediately before the sensors and thereupon she opened the case and we together explored the interior.

At some point near 1800 hours, Account Manager Roman encouraged me to have someone from the RCC Campus come over and help me secure the RLTAC during it closing hour.  I asked for Officer Ogiano (Nico).  When he arrived, we marveled at the collapse of the scheduled coverage, especially Supervisor Mendes conspicuous absence, and then I was provided coverage whereupon I used the opportunity to eat a sub from the vendor kiosk (AK's) and then used the wash facilities before I returned to finish-out the shift with the track event's completion.

I attest to the veracity of my statements,
RCC Public Safety Officer and AUS Employee,
