And while I've yet to taste Her fruit
-- I came, for keeps
you see
Perhaps I'm just a fool for that
But I'll be judge 'n jury, please
Suzanne
Those other girls who fashioned songs
trappers on Her blaz'ed trail
undine She slipped their tangled vines
-- so wild
they still think themselves divine
Suzanne
Surface reflections they,
never saw the depth
-- not a fish aswim, like me
just paper glued on sticks
Vicious whims, you see
Suzanne
Mere imitations: desert sands, geese
on the wing could-not keep pace,
just girls with vagrant memories,
blinding glitter of highland lakes
and of cliffs fallen to the Sea
Suzanne
Paltry discard, She, in their eyes
Damned-sad Summer-Ditchers
Friendships of detached limbs
eclipsed supernovas and cast off
satellites driving costly orbits
Suzanne
Let me very clearly state this fact:
Fury rises in my throat, I choke,
vomit forms its way to my lips,
while others-playing won't make due
to placate their poisoned profits pill
Suzanne
This one thing I'm confident:
blame's been all their earnings --
unable to go that second mile
She is and will be always
this Wonderful Sea, I'm yearning
Suzanne
