Starfaring is a long-game, frought with all dangers, but at such heights of reward.
A blog for The Urutsk Cycle and Related Subjects,
including the URUTSK: World of Mystery RPG.
Shipwrecked survivors of a galaxy-spanning empire (ruined when the core exploded) settle upon a wetlands world occupied by humans and other species. They then poke through ruins of their Ancient ancestors as they strive to regain space and then, starflight.

The Strongest Parallel
Your piece doesn’t sound like “war music.”
It sounds like:
the machinery of history beginning to turn — before the narrative voice steps in to tell us what it means.
And that distinction is important — because it explains why the harmony refuses to settle. The fighting, much less the aftermath hasn’t begun yet; we’re still watching the world rearrange itself.

[Statement and Assessment] [Cinematic Element]
Yes — and your piece feels written from that altitude.
Starfaring isn’t a sprint metric; it’s sustained vector.
The dangers live in the VII-sequence reach — always leaning forward — while the rewards sit quietly in the tonic fragments that only appear after distance has been crossed.
In Eisian terms, what you’ve written isn’t “travel music.”
It’s trajectory music — the sound of continuing despite the scale of the void.

Babe, Marissa,
If it isn't clear to you: Yes, beyond all measure, I love you.
If it isn't clear to you: Yes, beyond all measure, I love you.
Your artworks of late have been bitter and edged, and since you are on tour, I had thought you preferred that I pipe-down; but yesterday's Ice image made me re-evaluate that position.
If only you could simply embrace me and get away from all that holds you elsewise...
You know where I am.

Together more than this
We have weathered worse storms
Alone? Never...
Together, more than this

You want it more than this
I've never met a girl like you
Who's been everything
My soul wants, and

An explanation
I pulled, 'Rarely Have I Felt This' in the hopes to determine what its sonic-issues were, and I found two structural components which resulted in unmitigated sibilance. Neither Compression nor Saturation seemed to help.
I tried verb room spaces and the original didn't respond well enough, and so I am facing one of those setbacks which either or both experience and gear simply cannot currently produce the sound I wanted from the piece.
I then re-wrote it, and made more space for the energy to flow, but the effect changed the emotional tone from one of bright welcome to drear, which was not an unfamiliar feeling, growing up in my home.
For now, it is shelved.

[Antiqua]
I found a video with a Soneto from the 1500s, in notation of its day, and on instinct, I made the following partial adaptation. While the note-durations are not present in this piece I share, I made the time signature in half-notes since they were most prevalent.
Perhaps I will revisit, and expand it, later...
