In velvet
night draped
for me,
to see you on
some future
date

Sculpted arches
above beauteous
Violet-Russet
Blushing apples
elegant define
Alluring strength
in pillared line
draws down my
sight to silken
pillows of
deepest wine
to taste on
some future
night

But of all these
treasures, what
most I covet:
fiery jewels
open, glittering
like moonslit
ocean
voyage calling
eyes which
drew me
longingly
o'er mountains
to see them
searching,
seeking out
and smiling
